WDFL ROUND UP WEEK 7

On a wet and miserable morning throughout Worcestershire and it has to be said a great effort by all to get games played. We start this week’s round up in the Worcestershire Premier Division where Arrow welcomed Worcester Athletic to Nunnery wood. It was the visitors who took all 3 points with a 1-5 victory. It was back to league action for Callow End after their exit from the FA Sunday cup. They were back to winning ways with a 5-1 win over The bell. On the score sheet for the home side George Aston, Nick MacPherson Ciaran Sheehan and a double from Scott Finnegan. A ten goal thriller at KGV Brickfields as Fernhill Heath took on Perrywood. It was Perrywood who came away with maximum points with a 3-7 victory. Ben Harbourne, Nick Pearce, Gary Price and Kyle Belmonte notching 4 times for Perrywood. Northside P-P Clifton Rovers.

In Division 1 – Malvern Vale thumped 7 passed local rivals Colwall St James. Goals for the vale coming from Lewis Hill, Jack Preece a brace and four for Curtis Williams. Final score 7-1. FC United of Worcester beat Express Falcons 5-2 goals for United Tate Ellison, Matt Ennis, Charlie Tomlinson and Rhys Turberfield. Unbeaten FC Malvern took on Eaton at the vale community centre and the home side didn’t disappoint running out 4-1 victors. Malvern goals were scored by Aaron Smith, a brace from Ryan Shemwell and a bullet header from centre half Stuart Hill. Drakes Broughton Rangers P-P Lower Teme & Martley.

In Division 2 – Hornets travelled to Droitwich Spa BGFC Rovers and it was the visitors who came away with all three points with a 1-2 win. Hornets goals from Fred Harrison & Mark Walker. Colwall Wanderers hit Kempsey Colts United for six. Coming out 6-0 winners. Goals for Wanderers Ben Febery, James Febery, Harry Powell and a double from Ben Miller. At the Old Porcelain ground Droitwich Spa Eagles took on Worcester Saints. It was the Eagles who managed to fly past the saints winning 3-1 goals from Daniel Giles, Matthew Layton & Connor Shepheard. GDL Atheletic 0-1 Perdiswell FC Colts. Worcester City Wanderers hosted Blackpole Sports and it was the visitors who came away with the three points. Goals Wanderers Daniel Broome & Tom Tandurella.

In Division 3 – Powick FC travelled to AFC Brickfields and came away victorious winning 2-3 goals for Powick from Leighton Bridgwater, Leon Roberts & Joseph Spencer. Wesley Joyce scoring 2 for AFC Brickfields. Droitwich Spa BGFC Town ran out 3-0 winners over local rivals Droitwich Spa Eagles Reserves. Goals for Town Luke Banner, James Parker & Joe Somers. Nine goals at Shap Drive as Eaton Res welcomed Grosvenor Sports. Sports walking away with all 3 points goals from Jack Bailey, Robert Burston, Idris agboola, Joshua Farnsworth & a brace from Darren Palmer. Lower Teme & Martley Reserves 4-0 Drakes Broughton Rangers Reserves. Malvern Radar travelled to Perrywood Res and were on fire coming away 2-4 winners. Radar goals coming from Adam Buckley, Jon Fitzpatrick, Andy Nolan & Kieran Smith. On target for Perrywood Res Dan Adams & Aaron Hewitt. New Dales took a trip to Worcester Saints Res and came away with all 3 points. On target for Dales Jack Martin and Rio Sean Janc smashing home four.
