It was WFA Sunday Premier Cup day and Perrywood got off to an emphatic start, thumping a weakened Oak Apple side 18-0. Hot shot Kyonn Evans bagged 6! Kyle Belmonte followed closely with 5 and a brace for Garry Price, making up for the earlier surprise league defeat. An Ash Milliard hattrick ensured cup holders Callow End went safely through following a convincing 1-4 away win against outside league opposition. Fernhill Heath overcome hosts Clifton 2-4, which included a brace from Heaths substitute Jack Allen. It took penalties at the YMCA to separate St Johns and Arrow and it was St Johns who came out on top to progress to the next round.
Pillar lead the way in division one following a 0-3 away win against Drakes Broughton. Harry Burchell netting a double for the visitors. A Hat-trick for Joe Bates helped FC United of Worcester turn over a below par Eaton 6-3. The visitors were 6 nil down before sparking into life and pacey Steve Pitt reduced the arrears with a late hat-trick. Two for James Lush ensured that Express Falcons beat the visitors from over the hill, Colwall St James, 5-2. Claines lane hosted an 8-goal feast, but it ended honours even as Korono & Lower Teme played out a 4-4 draw. Braces for both Korono’s Joe Wood and Teme’s Gareth William-Howells.
Colwall Wanderers maintained their 100% start in division 2 with a 6-4 win that included a double for Ben Miller. The Rifleman scoring four away from home without reward. Worcester Saints came out narrowly on top 3-2 against Perdiswell Colts. Elsewhere GDL Athletic, Worc City Wanderers and Blackpole Sports all won their respective games away from home 1-2. Mark Edwards netting a brace for GDL. Also scoring a double was Mike George Young for Droitwich Spa BGFC Rovers who drew 3 each with Kempsey
Eaton Reserves poor start to the season continued as they were hammered by division 3 leaders New Dales 11 – 1. Four goals for Jack Martin and a double for Rio Sean Janic inflicting the damage for the hosts. Droitwich Spa Eagle were also handing out lessons as they crushed Drake Broughton Res 1-8 away from home. Four goals for Gavin Wood and two Simon Jones amongst the highlights. A reinvigorated Powick continued their unbeaten start as they swept away hosts Lower Teme & Marley reserves 1-5. This included a brace for the divisions leading goal scorer Leon Roberts. Doubles for both Josh Saunders and Brandon Beasant ensured AFC Brickfields took all the points in their game with Grovesnor that finished 5-0. Droitwich Spa BGFC Town beat Radar 1-3 and a single strike from Nathan Grogan was enough for Worcester Saints to take all three points from their encounter with Perrywood Reserves.
