WORCESTER LEAGUE ROUND UP - 13 MAY

Colwall Wanderers are the champions of the McDonald’s Worcester & District Football League Division 4. Needing to avoid an 18-0 defeat to Grosvenor Sports in their last match, they clinched the title with a 2-0 win, Elliot Watts and Joel Skyers their scorers. 

FC Korono have won the Division 2 crown, Rob Giles, Lukas Eilberg and Tom Groves on target as they beat Hornets 3-0. Eaton secured the runners-up spot, Dan Smith, Kamil Dymon, Luke Roberts and Steve Pitt all on the score sheet as they won 4-1 at Malvern Vale. Elsewhere, Colwall St James had a 5-1 victory at Kempsey Colts United, Ben Ledbury scoring twice. Northwick Saints beat Pershore Town Eagles 4-2 with goals from Tim Brown, Graeme Morgan, Russ Godfrey and Dan Booth.

In the Premier Division, Callow End need one point from their last three games to retain their title. Nick Macpherson and Aaron Thomasson both bagged a brace as they hammered FC Malvern 8-3. Jon Mann, Rob Sinclair, Jake Saunders and Scott Finnegan also found the net, with Ryan Shemwell, Jack Parker and Jack Shemwell on target for Malvern. Hallow beat Perrywood 4-3 to leapfrog them into second place. Kyonn Evans and Tiago Ribeiro both netted twice for Hallow, Nathan Hayward, Nick Pearce and John Pykett replying for Perrywood. Meanwhile Drakes Broughton Rangers drew 2-2 with Northside, Joe Barrett scoring twice for Rangers, Sam Yapp and Charlie Tomlinson replying for Northside. 

Clifton Rovers celebrated winning the Division One title with a crushing 8-1 win over Hallow Village. Hotshot Richard Taylor scored twice with other goals coming from Mike Fellows, Josh Stafford, Mark Dayson, Paul Abraham, Simon Rawle and Andy Thompson. Prince of Wales had already secured second place, but they went down 8-3 at St Johns, who finished third. Jay Lee (2), Tom Stone, Joe Hemming, Ryan Wilson, Chris Parker, Jamie Wharf and Matt Vale, playing his last match before retiring, were the Saints scorers, Lewis Pinches, Ashley Banner and Rik Halion replying for the Prince. 

AFC Mazak and Express Falcons moved a step closer to a last day of the season showdown for the Division 3 title. Mazak crushed GDL Athletic 6-0, George Martin hitting a hat-trick, with George Corbett, Ricky Johnson and Dan Woodward also on the score sheet. Strikes from Ted Grizzell and Josh Beckett gave Falcons a 2-0 win at Perdiswell Colts.
